Faeilyn

Tracking down Faeilyn

Our agents had immense difficulty tracking Faeilyn down. Gathering information from people in civilized areas is one thing, but their spying expertise does not extend into areas claimed by nature. There are very few of them currently and they can’t scour the natural areas in search of a specific person, unless they had more detailed instructions about their whereabouts. We asked around in different cities, searched through government documents and customs papers and found no mention of her anywhere, indicating that if she is still in Chrylarch she is not in any civilized area.

Finding Faeilyn

It would appear that one of our agents has successfully located this Faeilyn, but he seems to have abandoned our cause in favor of hers. One of our other agents managed to locate him pilfering gemstones in a city west of Chrylarch, Hollowport, and they convinced him to return to our base of operations. When he returned he would not speak of her, nor tell us of her location, claiming that her life was in danger and that he would not budge. Our agents successfully tore off one of his wings and cooked it for supper, but they were stopped before they could amputate the rest of his extremities by Newt who told them they needed to wait for your approval on all culinary requests regarding faeries of interest (FOIs for short). How should we proceed in this matter? He may be convinced to reveal her location if forced to rate the taste of his roasted legs.

Convincing the faerie

As per your instruction our agents changed course from torture to persuasion. They explained, very nicely and kindly, that Crator wants to help Faelyn out and possibly save her life rather than do her harm (note for future interrogations: if the point we are trying to make is that we want to help someone out we should refrain from torture as it may give off the wrong image).

It took some convincing, but the following points were made by the FOI:

  1. The FOI wants compensation for being permanently maimed and unable to fly. He wants an absurd amount of shinnies (5!!??? Maybe we can negotiate it down to four if we threaten to roast more limbs?)
  2. Since he is unable to fly he can’t go to Faelyn anymore, and he doesn’t want to risk bringing any of our faeries with him to carry him until he reveals to Faelyn that Bloodfallow is Crator to confirm that she does in fact know him and wants to accept his help. If he were to walk it would take him forever so that’s off the table. Shimmy said that you are smart and will figure out a way to help him move there on his own.
  3. Farts are funny
  4. Stop writing this down I only had three points. Can you let me go now I want to go to swim in the sp

Capturing a mighty beast

Our agents sought out a wild beast of epic proportions for the FOI to ride, so that he may visit Faeilyn and relay Bloodfallow’s Skittershade’s message. We found a beast so terrifying and dangerous that we believe the faerie’s safety is guaranteed. There are unlikely few brave enough to face it and it’s unpredictable waving battle appendage. In fact, our agents barely were as well. When they used the spell to find and it burst out of the bushes running straight for them with it’s waving appendage they thought it was over for them and that the creature came straight from the depths of hell to punish them for using such dangerous magic. Its mouth was wide open and FOI thought it would eat him whole, but it chose only to taste him with it’s tongue. Strange, but we believe it may have spared him due to his disgusting taste (we couldn’t finish his wing either).

Regardless, it seems to have accepted him as it’s rider but it is still wild and unpredictable, running towards anyone and everyone and throwing itself on its back for some reason. Terrifying.

The FOI and the creature departed on their journey and we are awaiting their return.

Journey back

The Beast Rider and Faeilyn were last seen traveling south from the Wetlands towards the Home Tree. They should be there in several days. (Message received a day before landing on Catagon)
